FAQ
1. Will anyone know that I have had treatment?
Not from us. Your privacy and confidentiality are taken very seriously at Aer. All notes are locked in a secure file and are only accessed by your treating doctor. Anything you tell us remains in strict confidence.
We will leave it to you to explain to your friends why you are looking so healthy and refreshed!
2. Will I be able to wear makeup after my treatment?
We advise that you wear no make up for 24 hours after aesthetics treatments. If you need to wear makeup for work etc, we advise the use of mineral or medical grade foundation
3. Will my treatment be painful?
For deeper needling eg dermal rollers, topical anaesthetic is applied.
4. Does Acupuncture hurt?
No.
5. What does Acupuncture feel like?
Some people are aware of the needles being inserted, but thereafter there is a feeling of calm and deep relaxation. Some people feel butterflies in their chest/tummy and heaviness in the limbs. If you experience any discomfort, the needles are removed and resited
6. How do you keep your equipment clean to prevent infection?
All needles are single use and disposed of immediately.
Medical procedures are carried out under sterile conditions.
Unlike beauty salons, all equipment touching your skin is either single use or autoclaved for guaranteed sterility.
We use fresh towels, headbands and sponges for each patient.
7. Why don't you offer fillers?
We do! But only by specialist doctors from Harley street. Medical Fillers are easy to do, but very difficult to do well. To achieve a perfectly natural look takes not only skill in injecting but also advanced skills in facial anatomy and a strong artistic flair. At Aer we are never satisfied with mediocracy therefore the ONLY people we allow to do fillers on our clients are Senior Doctors who are world leaders in facial fillers
8. What should I do after my treatment
After treatments we advise that you avoid exercise, saunas and sunbathing for 24 hours. Drink plenty and apply SPF generously
9. What should I wear for my appointment?
For acupuncture, loose and comfortable clothing that can be pulled up above the knees and elbows. For aesthetic treatments, often the shoulders need to be exposed so we ask you to remove your shirt. We supply covers to maintain your dignity.
